The Defence Security Branch was established on the 1st July 2011. With the consent of His Majesty Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Dipertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam during His Majesty work visit at the Ministry of Defence on 25th May 2011. The Defence Security Branch was located at the K1 building prior moving to the current building in 2015.
